Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show Featured Systems: SMART FPS-FX

Be sure to stop by the AXI booth (513-514) to take a look at the new SMART FPS-FX series fuel polishing and transfer systems. These new fuel dialysis systems will be part of our new featured systems at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show, and you will have the opportunity to see them in person, and ask our fuel experts about them. The new SMART FPS FX models replaced the older FPS-500 fuel polishing systems, and AXI Engineering added a few upgrades. The SMART FPS-FX includes a fully programmable controller for automated operation with four unique alarm features, corrosion-resistant back plate and drip tray, leak detection, AXI’s proprietary Watect 550 water-in-fuel alarm sensor module, and are available with Racor or Separ primary water separator filters. These systems are DC powered with either 12V or 24V versions and like the previous FPS-500 series fuel polisher have a flow rate of 150 GPH.

System Spotlight: SFC-55 Smart Filtration Controller

The Algae-X fuel maintenance systems provide reliable fuel by constantly monitoring their performance, and automating the fuel maintenance cycles with our SMART Controllers.

Generally for use with our FPS LX-F systems, the SFC-55 gives an instant visual status report of system power, pump operations, and alarms for high vacuum, high water levels, and leak detection.

The three color-coded lights give an instant visual status report of system power (green), pump running (orange), and alarm (red). The alarm reset is the easily accessible large (blue) push button. The selector switch provides the option of manual operation or running the fully automated program.The controller can also be used with a remote pendant power control switch, and an alarm strobe light for high visibility.

System Spotlight: SMART FPS-FX Fuel Polishing System

The new SMART FPS FX replaces the older FPS-500 series fuel polishing units by having the same capacity with automated controls.

SMART FPS-FX systems are designed to keep diesel fuel in pristine condition while removing foreign elements such as sludge, water, and biological elements from storage tanks at a rate of 150 gallons per hour, and offer two types of filtration. The SMART FPS FX uses a Separ 2000/40 filtration and water separation, filtering fuel down to 30-10 micron. The FX series fuel polishing and transfer system is also available with Racor 1000 MA filtration and water separation down to 30-10 micron. (SMART FPS- FX-R )

The new systems are equipped with automated programming to simplify the fuel maintenance procedure for the tanks of vessels and generator compartments ensuring constant high-grade fuel quality. For safe operation all SMART FPS systems have automatic pump shut-down and indicators when filter elements require service, high pump vacuum or pressure exists, or water is detected.

FPS-FX systems installed on one or multiple tanks keep the tanks clean and optimize the fuel before transferring it to your day-tank. SMART FPS systems are very cost effective, have a small footprint and are easy to install, operate and maintain.

Opening the valve on the bottom of the separator flushes back the filter and easily drains water and sediment. The ALGAE-X® Fuel Conditioner stabilizes your fuel and prevents the buildup of tank sludge.
